Um.
Is it just me, or is something strange going on? I feel... [ like I did before here. different. like a freak again. ] kind of funny, y'know?
There suddenly seem to be so many people, too...I wonder if--eep! [ Cue her Swablu trying to play with her by tapping her on the shoulder...except it only serves to startle her. She jumps, the 'Gear falling to the ground but still recording. As part of her instinctive reaction, one of her hands flies out in shock - and suddenly, the grass that hand was pointing to is on fire. ]
Oh, shoot, I didn't mean to--Water! [ And a controlled burst of water appears at her command to extinguish the flames.
Picking up the Gear again. ] Looks like magic's back, huh? [ Fake smile, trying to hide how uncomfortable this makes her feel, before shutting off the feed. ]

You know, I've been here for....a while now, but I've never tried out a gym fight! I mean, at first I was just trying to adjust and follow Quisty, and then I got all settled in Goldenrod....I guess I didn't have the time! [ Small laugh. It's not really funny, anyway. ]
But I don't really have much of an excuse anymore! And I have to try, anyway. Even if the badges aren't guaranteed to get us back home, it's still worth a shot, right?
[ It's what they'd be doing if they were here--what they had been doing, in the past, while she'd been taking a vacation. And it was nice, for a while. But it was time she showed that she could handle herself like an adult, too. ]

[ A quick question that she's been mentally debating for a while now. ]
So....how do you decide when it's time to use an evolutionary stone? I have two for two of my Pokemon, but I'm not sure when I should use them!
And I guess there probably isn't a 'wrong choice' or anything, but I'd like to hear some advice, y'know?
[ She gives the camera a quick grin, and then she turns off the feed with a click. ]

Apr. 25th, 2011 09:10 pm[ Like everyone else, Rinoa got an egg for Easter! But she doesn't seem that concerned about it. In the first few moments of the feed, you can see it resting on her bed, tucked in with a few blankets.
Instead, have a different type of egg in your face. A painted one or....at least, it looks like it was meant to be painted. It's...kind of a train wreck, to be honest; it looks more like a five-year-old's failed art project than an Easter egg.
Not that Rinoa seems to notice. ]

I haven't painted anything since the train model, but I think it turned out okay!

I got a job! I've been working at the PokeCenter for a day or two now, helping out with the patients.
It's not bad, and I want to save up some money, just in case!
[ She smiles at the camera, and then looks over her shoulder casually at the egg. ]
I've also got a new member of my team on the way! I'm going to name him Watts, when he comes—
[ As if on cue, the egg starts shaking and cracking slightly. She gasps and picks up the 'Gear, spinning it around so that the hatching egg is in focus. And then— ]

Aww, look at you, little guy! I think Watts is the perfect name for you~

Jan. 22nd, 2011 10:47 pm[ Hey, Johto! It's Rinoa again...she's strolling through town, but her main focus is the camera. Have a smile. ]
My friends and I arrived in Violet a few days ago. Since then, I've been keeping busy by working on leveling up my Pokémon. I mean, they got some practice on the way here, but I've got to step up their training if I want them to be their best!
Oh! And before I forget, let me introduce you to the newest member of my team...!
[ After some shifting and a great view of the ground, she manages to hold the camera steady with one hand and lift up a Caterpie with the other. ]
His name is Zone~ after a good friend of mine back home. I caught him on the way here, but I didn't really get a chance to train him much until now. [ The next part is whispered, as if it's a secret: ] I think Angelo might be a little jealous of all the attention he's getting...
[ Said Growlithe, walking alongside the girl, gives an irritated bark—that's his trainer, thanks—in response to which the Caterpie curls up in fear in Rinoa's hold. ]

What am I going to do with you….oh! [ She finally notices the discarded PokéGear and picks it up, looking at it closely—so that the image being projected only shows one eye and part of her nose—before realizing that it's a video-talky-device and holding it at a more reasonable distance. ]
Is this thing on? Hellooo? [ Short pause, before she gets too impatient to wait for a response. ] Can anyone tell me where this guy belongs…and how to get back to Balamb?
