Can I just say something? If someone's talking to you, you don't ignore them! Especially if they're just trying to ask you a question...meanie! [ She sticks her tongue out. Yes, she has the maturity of a two year old; how did you guess?

But that seems to calm her down, at any rate, as she seems much more neutral after that outburst. ]

That's a sad way to think of things... [ She blinks a little at the Gengar; what is that? ]

It's a mature way of thinking. [That first pair of red eyes is joined by a second one, both of the Gengars grinning eerily at the girl on the other side.]

That doesn't make it any less depressing. [ Oooo-kay, she's just gonna...not-so-subtly pull her Growlithe onto her lap. For protection, you see. ]

How is it depressing? It's logical. [The ghosts point and snicker at the dog, toothy grins not leaving their otherwise featureless faces.]

You can put your heart and soul into things without looking like a child.

[ Yeah well, Angelo's a feisty one who doesn't seem to realize that he would be outnumbered (or care), so he's just gonna keep growling at them. He can feel that you're making his trainer tense, kthx. ]

I know how to do that. There are just very few people who deserve it.

[They don't care. They both have their levels completely maxed out... And continue using Scary Face.]

Investing too much of yourself into others causes weakness.

[ The Growlithe is quite clearly losing ground fast, but he valiantly tries to put up a brave, scary face...until he gives up and buries his head in Rinoa's lap. She strokes his head affectionately. ]

No. Friends and partners give you strength, not weakness. Weakness is being all alone.

[Suzuki lofts an eyebrow as the Growlithe retreats and the ghosts high-five each other.]

I've seen it for my own eyes. I wouldn't be here today if I hadn't trusted in my friends.

[ She's just gonna ignore those ghosts, ruffling the Growlithe's fur and letting her know how proud she is of it for trying to protect her. ]

[They're just annoying, Rinoa. It's pretty easy to ignore them. But they are really pretty cool guys.]

And I wouldn't be here had I not trusted mine. It is merely a difference in priority. Not experience.

[ When they stop annoying each other, I'm sure she'll learn to like them. ]

I suggest that you shape up a bit. People will respect you and you will not have these arguments.
