[ The device seems to click on by accident, having fallen out of her bag, as you get a sideways shot of a young Growlithe and a girl dressed in a white dress with pink fringe. She seems to be…gesturing to it and speaking encouragingly? ]

…Go on~ Go find your owner! Can you manage that? [ The Pokémon just gives her a confused whine, to which she responds by placing her hands on her hips. ]

What am I going to do with you….oh! [ She finally notices the discarded PokéGear and picks it up, looking at it closely—so that the image being projected only shows one eye and part of her nose—before realizing that it's a video-talky-device and holding it at a more reasonable distance. ]

Is this thing on? Hellooo? [ Short pause, before she gets too impatient to wait for a response. ] Can anyone tell me where this guy belongs…and how to get back to Balamb?

[ The feed continues for a few more minutes as she presses some buttons, before it cuts out. ]

[ Quistis actually laughs a little, but stops herself. ] If you were wearing your duster before, you could try using the towels to pin sleeves on it, too. Might be a better use of resources, if it works.

Yeah. [ She smiles reassuringly. ] Try to stay out of the long grass — the snow is higher there — but if you run into any trouble, your Pokémon should protect you.

Actually... [ She brightens a little. ] I have a Flying-type who can make it there before you get to the next town. He's not very friendly, but he'll keep you safe if you need it, and he can bring you a blanket and some warmer clothes.

You'll get to Cherrygrove before I do, so when you do, just grab a room at the inn and get warm, okay?

[ ...Of course Quistis was right, as usual. Rinoa's plans, while creative, had a tendency to be haphazard and poorly thought-out. ] Ah, yeah....that's probably going to be more useful... [ She starts taking apart the 'jacket' and fixing the new clothes. ]

Alright, I will avoid the long grass! [ Have a salute. ]

A flying... [ Okay, whatever, it's time to stop trying to understand and just go with it. ] Okay, that would be helpful. Thanks, Quisty.

[ She laughs a bit. It's easy to see (and easy to imagine, having been there herself) that Rinoa's just short of a little overwhelmed. Quistis can't blame her. ]

I've made arrangements to travel with someone else who's headed back that way to pick up a friend. If you run across a young blonde girl named Elizabeth Middleford, keep an eye on her, would you? From the sounds of things, you can take better care of her than she can of herself. [ It'll likely help Rinoa stay focused, too; having someone else to look after should keep her from getting too disheartened, Quistis thinks. ]

We might end up with a full party, traveling back. I offered to pick up anyone who needed help, since it can get pretty rough out there.

[ Does it ever. ] I don't think I realized how good it sounded until it came up on its own... I've been traveling alone since I got here about five weeks ago. It wasn't so much difficult as it was lonely. [ She smiles ruefully. ]

And I won't be alone from now on. [ She smiles again, warmly. She knows it's true; Rinoa won't abandon her. You don't abandon people you've saved the world with. ] We'll be great.
